A Storybook Sky

There are skies that promise rain, skies that blaze with sunset, and skies that quietly steal your attention without asking.

Today’s belonged in the pages of an old storybook.

Every cloud seemed to have a personality of its own. Some drifted along like wandering sheep, while one enormous traveler floated overhead, soft around the edges, casting gentle shadows across the afternoon. They weren’t racing anywhere. They were simply taking their time, reminding me that not everything beautiful needs to hurry.

Standing beneath them, it felt wonderfully easy to let my thoughts wander. The errands, the clock, the endless lists all faded into the background while the sky invited me to look up just a little longer.

Perhaps that’s why I’ve always loved clouds. They ask for nothing except a moment of wonder, and they always seem willing to give one in return.

The larger cloud lingered overhead like the final illustration before the end of a favorite chapter. It was impossible not to imagine it drifting toward someone else who might look up and see an entirely different story.

Maybe that’s the quiet magic of clouds. We all share the same sky, yet every dreamer reads a different page.
